Deputy Cooper is a life-long resident of Lamar County. She began her career in law enforcement as a jailer in the neighboring Spalding County in 1999. Deputy Cooper went on to hold several positions with Spalding County before leaving in 2008 to join the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Cooper left Lamar County at the end of 2009 to care for her ailing mother-in-law. Deputy Cooper rejoined the Lamar County Sheriff's Offices in February 2013. Deputy Cooper is married to Chief Craig Cooper of the Barnesville Police Department. They have been married 28 years. Both are members of the First Baptist Church of Barnesville. They have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. Deputy Cooper has 1092 hours of specialized training and holds a Certification in Basic Law Enforcement, Jailer Certification and a Specialized Crime Scene Technician Certification.

All programs are available to any group upon request. We can also help to develop programs to accommodate almost any topic.
